Description

Catalog description

The formulation, analysis and interpretation of mathematical models in various areas of application. Both continuous and discrete deterministic and stochastic models are employed. Mathematical techniques used may include: differential and difference equations, matrix analysis, optimization, simple stochastic processes, decision theory, game theory and numerical methods. The phenomena modelled vary from year to year.

Course Graph

Prerequisite flow into the course, and dependencies flow out from it.

Co-requisites are treated as prerequisite links, and equivalent or cross-listed courses are merged into shared course nodes. The simplified view shows one prerequisite level above the course and one dependency level downstream.

Simplified view: direct prerequisites for the course, then one dependency step downstream.
