Model color relief

Colors distinguish relative surface relief in the model and are paired with hillshade. No validated elevation scale or tidal-datum tie is published here.

CSV

Each value belongs to one GPS row; it is not a single elevation for the site. The CSV distinguishes local-datum height from receiver altitude.

Manifest

The map’s DEM layer is a hillshade visualization. These links provide the source elevation raster and orthophoto as GeoTIFFs for local analysis. The DEM uses the island-specific datum.

HS107: Totiko

Explore Totiko’s parallel reef gullies with an elevated orbit and clay-relief view, then inspect the reef cliff.

Field notes

Based on 28 May 2026 field observations and calibrated survey photographs. The corrected camera alignment and rebuilt surface were reviewed before this tour was remade. H5 alternates photographic texture with an illustrative clay view of exactly the same surface; raking light and ambient occlusion emphasize relief without adding geological boundaries. Constructional relief, erosion, rockfall and cementation remain competing explanations for the gullies. No age or sea-level elevation is assigned. Individual coral and giant-clam observations have not all been located as precise model targets. Vegetation, moving water and incomplete coverage remain uncertain; two small uncertain bare-surface patches in the full model are outside this display crop. Grey cut walls, backing, support and reveal are artificial presentation geometry.
