Published Description

Catalog text

This single degree program is composed of a selected combination of courses from the Department of Geography and the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences. Students may complete this program in either the Faculty of Social Sciences or the Faculty of Science. Those choosing a Social Science degree should consult the Social Sciences Faculty Program Requirements; those choosing a Science degree should consult the Science Faculty Program Requirements.

Program Notes

Catalog notes

  • MATH 211, MATH 342, STAT 260, STAT 353 or STAT 359 are recommended as electives in Year 2 for students taking the Physical Climate Science stream.

Streams

Program Graphs

Program requirements arranged by prerequisite flow.

Climate Science is published with a shared core and two stream-specific progressions. There are separate maps below for each stream. Note that courses with no direct prerequisite links in the database are shown as isolated nodes. Some of these courses may have prerequisites outside the scope of the courses that we pulled from the database.

Contact Hours

Per-term contact hours by published section.

Each stream path combines the shared program core with the stream-specific requirements.

Regular-term figures are averaged across the published terms in each section. Electives are simplified to 3-0-0 at minimum and 3-3-0 at maximum, scaled to the published unit count. Open a row to inspect the named courses and assumptions.
