Each value belongs to one GPS row; it is not a single elevation for the site. The CSV distinguishes local-datum height from receiver altitude.

Manifest

The map’s DEM layer is a hillshade visualization. These links provide the source elevation raster and orthophoto as GeoTIFFs for local analysis. The DEM uses the island-specific datum.

HS104: Taunganui harbor

Atiu, Cook Islands

Surveyed 2026-05-27

HS104: Taunganui harbor

Explore the freshly excavated Taunganui harbor wall with one close view of its cemented clasts and cavities, matched to the original survey photograph.

Field notes

The May 27 field notes describe lower large coral colonies and upper cemented rubble, small corals, algae and encruster horizons. The selected B view shows clast-rich irregular fabric and cavities; individual coral/encruster identities, growth positions, ages and a separating hiatus are not established by these images. Excavation striations, concrete, fencing and tree cuts are modern; loose material at the wall foot may be moved. Local ENU Z is relative only, with no reconciled sea-level datum. All 157 cameras and survey photos are present in one reviewed natural-tie network; sections and source-photo comparisons revealed no broad duplicated cliff surface in the reviewed area. Three enabled control references lack image observations; GCP4 has up to 3.26 px automatic residual and was preserved. The derived presentation crop trims trees and harbor fringe; gray walls, caps and backing are artificial. Original retained geometry and UVs and all 7 diffuse plus 7 normal 8K maps are preserved.
